What if my school isn't on your register yet?

We add it before you commit. Email atelier@sirenandsilk.co.uk or use the school request form — confirmation within 24 hours. Your dress is held privately until your school is live in our system.

Question 2

Does the lock apply to sister schools?

Accepted Answer

If your school shares a sixth-form site or a joint prom evening, yes. We treat the prom itself as the lock, not the institution. That is the photograph that matters.

Question 3

What if someone outside Essex wears the same style?

Accepted Answer

The register protects your hallway. We sell limited quantities nationally, but our written promise is that no one at your prom will twin. Every other Siren & Silk student is in another county, another hallway, another photograph.

Question 4

What if I cancel after committing?

Accepted Answer

Your £247 deposit is refundable in full within 14 days of booking, provided your dress has not yet entered pattern-cutting at our atelier. Once production commences — usually within 7 days of your deposit — your deposit becomes non-refundable. The school lockout releases the moment your dress is unmade and back in the register.

Question 5

Is the £100 Privé Access fee refundable?

Accepted Answer

Privé Access is non-refundable — the £100 reserves the atelier hour and takes up to three silhouettes privately off your school's register for 24 hours, blocking other students at your school from claiming them. If you proceed within those 24 hours, the full £100 is credited to your £247 production deposit, so only £147 remains due at your fitting. If you walk away, the £100 stays with us as payment for that private review window.

Question 6

Can my best friend at my school claim a similar dress?

Accepted Answer

She can claim any of the other thirty silhouettes in our collection. But the exact style you reserved is closed — same colour, same cut, same fabric. Two of you, two different dresses, two different photographs.

Question 7

What if I see the dress on Vinted or eBay?

Accepted Answer

The register protects the original. Resale of made-to-order Siren & Silk dresses is rare — most are kept as keepsakes — but if your dress is the registered one, you are still the only original at your prom.

Question 8

Is this enforced legally?

Accepted Answer

Yes. It is written into our fitting contract on the day of your deposit, Section 4. The Siren Guarantee™ refunds your dress in full if any twin appears at your year's prom.
